Childrens' Home

'Dr. Milorad Pavlovic’ children’s home in Sremska Kamenica temporarily houses children and young adults without parental care. Dispersed idyllic houses which comprise this housing complex in Kamenicki park, warm atmosphere apparent to every visitor, as well as professional staff carefully balancing their relationship with children between guardians and caretakers, however, still cannot replace an ordinary family day.

Our Mission

The basic idea of DOTS humanitarian foundation is to help children from this institution receive the opportunity they deserve - healthy psychological, emotional and physical progress, and especially recognition and further development of their talents - something they would have in a usual family environment. We wish to show them that, regardless of their initial negative life experience, the world can be a positive place, and that work and effort always bear fruit.

Sport

DOTS Foundation team of experts, in cooperation with caretakers from 'Dr. Milorad Pavlovic' institution, organized start-up activities adapted to interests and age of the children involved. Professional trainers with extensive experience in working with children, Anja Obradović and Željko Šakan have designed and are implementing athletic activities for children („Sportić“).

English Classes

Considering the fact that this is a particularly vulnerable category of students, English classes were entrusted to Jelena Conic, a psychologist with excellent knowledge of English language, in order to recognize and in a timely manner resolve possible challenges.

IT Programming

For children showing interest in computer science, the Foundation organized a basic level programming stipend program with one of the largest IT companies in Novi Sad. Levi9 provided a team of young mentors motivated to work with children.

Driving Test

For children whose main interest lies in learning a trade and becoming independent, we organized apprenticeship summer programs. In addition, the foundation enables each young adult of age to go through training and driving tests in order to obtain a driving license as another element of becoming more self-reliant.

Medical Expenses

In addition, the foundation enables each young adult of age to go through training and driving tests in order to obtain a driving license as another element of becoming more self-reliant. Finally, timely and easily accessible medical services are inevitable part of children's care to which DOTS Foundation pays special attention. This is a start. However, our intention is to grow further and encourage children's development in the best possible way.

Creative Workshops

Creative workshops introduce children to the world of creativity, imagination, and discover potentials and talents of which many were previously unaware of. They boost children's confidence, offer refuge from everyday problems, and estheticize the mundane. Workshops take place on Saturday afternoons and are coordinated by Krstinja Radin, art professor with extensive experience in working with children.
